For the past eleven or twelve years, our church has gone on an annual camping trip at a nearby camp site. This is always a time that *everyone* looks forward to. It's a great weekend of fun, fellowship, and sometimes relaxation. While this year's camping weekend started off with rain, we all still managed to have a wonderful time despite the wet-ness. Thankfully, the rain went away early Saturday afternoon and the sun shone through Monday.
Lots of 15 passengers were to be found at this camp ground. Can you guess which is ours? Her name is Big Bertha, by the way.

Because of the rain, we had to be creative in how we stayed dry. The guys did a good job of hanging up tarps on the trees so many of us could sit underneath them.

Coloring under the tarp while it rained, waiting for things to clear up.
Love this picture Nap time for a little girl
On Saturday, several of the kids had soccer games. Since quite a few others wanted to watch the games, the camp ground was short many older kids Saturday afternoon.

When everyone got back Saturday evening, we had a cake for Jen's 19th birthday. Yum!
Enjoying the camp fire. Saturday night, we had a time of praise and worship, and then one of the men shared a word.
A little goofy?
Some of the older kids resorted to playing Duck, Duck, Goose. It was actually quite fun.
1st pic: Nathan pushing Caleb into his tent (made for a great picture, huh? ); 2nd pic: John, Jen, and others on a walk through the woods and around the lake; 3rd pic: Joseph being funny at the pavilion after the walk.
We ALWAYS play games at the camp out

Fun times
This is to prove that almost anything can be cooked/heated up by a camp fire.....including a cinnamon bun!
Girlios
Some people went the traditional way with tents (HA thank goodness that ancient one on the right didn't collapse on Dad during the night!)
Some people went the high-tech route
And others use different resources. Actually, quite a few people slept in vehicles this year. Hanna apparently didn't want to smile for the picture....not even John could make her laugh. Playing dodge ball on the playground (when the little ones weren't on there )
