Camp Out movie

Here's a movie some of the guys made at the camp out for fun.  Hope it at least makes you smile, because it made us laugh.   <you'll need to turn off the music at the top of the page>

Church Camp Out 2009!

For the past eleven or twelve years, our church has gone on an annual camping trip at a nearby camp site.  This is always a time that *everyone* looks forward to.  It's a great weekend of fun, fellowship, and sometimes relaxation.    While this year's camping weekend started off with rain, we all still managed to have a wonderful time despite the wet-ness.  Thankfully, the rain went away early Saturday afternoon and the sun shone through Monday.

Lots of 15 passengers were to be found at this camp ground.    Can you guess which is ours?  Her name is Big Bertha, by the way.

Because of the rain, we had to be creative in how we stayed dry.  The guys did a good job of hanging up tarps on the trees so many of us could sit underneath them.

On Saturday, several of the kids had soccer games.  Since quite a few others wanted to watch the games, the camp ground was short many older kids Saturday afternoon.

Enjoying the camp fire.  Saturday night, we had a time of praise and worship, and then one of the men shared a word.

A little goofy?

Some of the older kids resorted to playing Duck, Duck, Goose.  It was actually quite fun.

A little bit of life

The cooler weather is finally starting to make it's way here!  We're wrapping up volleyball, baseball, and soccer for the season.  Lots of pictures to post!!

A mom called me (Lauren) and asked me to text her daughter about something.  This picture depicts me texting the message the mother is telling me on the phone.  Apparently text is the only way to quickly reach her daughter (who was working a hospital shift).  Kinda funny.   Missy is pretending to do the same thing.  It's weird to hear a 3 year old say the word "texting."  Cute, but weird.  I guess that's what happens when little ones have older siblings.    I didn't know what a text was until I was in my teens!!

Do you think we look alike?  People think we're either twins (when only two of us are together, whether it's Lauren/Jennifer, Jennifer/Bethany, or Bethany/Lauren) or triplets.

100_3543_picnik

Maybe some resemblance...but twins?  I guess it's harder for family members to see the likeness.
