And life continues…
Since Photobucket has changed its settings, I had a really difficult time with pictures. Now that I’m using a different hosting site, I can finally do a post!
Here is a summary of some of the things that went on in February (yes, I know it’s mid-March).
CSYO conert
Christopher is concertmaster of the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra. The Youth Festival is THE concert to go to each year, because the CSYO gets to play alongside members of the Charlotte Symphony.
The CSYO during Youth Fest at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in uptown Charlotte.
That’s our BROTHER standing in front of the orchestra (CSYO ***and*** CSO) as they tune.
Christopher did an awesome job and really enjoyed performing with the Symphony. His college math teacher even came out for the concert!

Girls Night
One of our girlfriend’s from church had soem of us over for food and games. We had so much hanging out together. Thankful for friends.

Hiking
We went hiking at Crowder’s Mountain with a group from church (plus some others). It was a PERFECT day for hiking.
We spent a good hour and a half to two hours at the top. Eating. Exploring. Resting. Sooo much fun!
Found some cool places to explore!

Piano Competition
The girls participated in a piano festival (competition). It was Marianna’s second or third year and Missy’s first. They both did great and received “Superior” ratings!

Bridal Show
Our family business (Wescottage Music…check us out at www.wescottagemusic.com) participated in a bridal show. We were one of the first vendors the visitors saw/heard. It went really well! We always had at least one person talking and handing out our brochures while the others played. Jennifer’s already talked with around 20 brides who signed our contact sheet.
Our set-up. The photographer in the “booth” next to us was kind enough to lend us her small table (the table we were given was too big). It was perfect! I was also able to borrow an electric piano from a friend, which was a huge blessing.

Cello Playin’
Missy loves her cello. She’s gotten really good, too, and is playing some things by ear.

Nana Pat
We’ve been visiting our good friend, Nana Pat. She’s doing really well in her new home. We always enjoy time spent with her.
We love our Nana Pat!

Valentine’s Day
Some of the decor
A red dinner! Pizza and spaghetti.
Mom does an awesome job with decorating the house for different occasions. She also hosted a party for the little girls and their friends (hence the table full of craft stuff).
All ‘o us

Field Trip
Mom and the girls went on a field trip to the recycling place with some friends.

Valentine’s Party
Several girls from church came over for a Valentine’s Party. Marianna and Missy were SO excited.
All set!
The girls throwing pink marshmallows into a small bucket downstairs. This turned into a “let’s see how hard and fast we can throw the marshmallows then go downstairs and get them so we can throw them all down again” game. It literally looked like it was raining marshmallows.
Mom planned some great crafts for the girls. Mrs. Persiani stayed for the party and added to the fun.
The Skittle game!!! This is one of our favorite games that we played at our birthday parties when we were younger.
Another craft

Snow!!!!!!
We actually got SNOW this year! And it covered the ground!!!!!!!!!! This was SUCH a surprise and boy did we have fun!
So beautiful!
Quite excited about the snow///The girls buried Bethany…lol
Our amazing 7-ft snow people!
We got snow a week and a half ago, too. It snowed for two hours and there was a light dusting on the ground outside. No more than fifteen minutes after the snow stopped, it ALL melted. Just like that! So funny!!
“I’m going to eat you now.” {inside joke that makes this picture hilarious}
Now it’s starting to feel (and look) like spring. We’re looking forward to seeing more green around here.
